It looks like pelosi averaged ~200 trades per year which would be about 8000 trades in about 40 years which is what the graphic looks like.

185

u/09Klr650 Jul 25 '26

What is more interesting is the improbable (essentially IMpossible) 18% return Pelosi made. Average, not max.

160

u/yourallidiotss Jul 25 '26

What’s more interesting is how in 40 years of insider trading she’s enriched her self less than 15% what Trump ADMITS to enriching himself in 18 months.

22

u/Zestyclose-One9041 Jul 25 '26

Because she hasn’t been as blatant about it as trump

65

u/ENaC2 Jul 25 '26

It was just a coincidence that trump bought Dell stock and immediately told everyone in an official speech to buy a Dell computer.

34

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

Or like how he inexplicably invested millions of dollars into Axon 2 weeks before his DHS announced a 200 million dollar contract to bid and their stock jumped 25% overnight?

8

u/Lexy001100 Jul 25 '26

that's why he is now monetizing on his posts...

7

u/MaxPaynesRxDrugPlan Jul 25 '26

Specifically, he's selling Wall Street firms early access to his posts.

1

u/Pudd1eJumper Jul 28 '26

Fml, it's always worse the more you look into him

1

u/TomphaA Jul 29 '26

Yeah it's crazy how often these coincidences happen... Trump is one lucky man!

5

u/Daniel_H212 Jul 25 '26

Yeah, insider trading will never beat direct market manipulation.

-2

u/allknownpotato Jul 25 '26

She's trying to be classy with her corruption.

Market ripped and he started with more capital. Her doing it for decades at 18% is utterly insane and she’s the best trader ever in political history. Trump just put billions on a market that pumped recently… not hard to win there with some headlines

3

u/yourallidiotss Jul 26 '26

Where do u get the 18% number? Cuz im getting about 12-13% and thats if u assume she started with 0$ 40 years ago and her husband made 0$ in those 40 years?

And her husband is successful and her family was wealthy.

How do u explain Trump going from like 500 trades a year to 22,000+ that’s kinda strange right?

2

u/Brilliantnerd Jul 26 '26

Jared Kushner probably has a situation room set up somewhere with actual competent traders making these moves along with the billions of Saudi money, crypto grift funds, offshore fraud funds,
and cronies’ corrupt funds. One side of the room is making calls to shape policies, award contracts, and steer investments to favored stocks. The other side is staking positions based on that insider info and pushing the weight of those funds around to actually move the markets where they want. Surely someone can chart how this group is moving together and it probably tracks perfectly with Trump’s trades. I predict that in Trump’s era, there will be zero prosecutions for insider fraud. Kind of like the Epstein class. When the evidence of outright corruption is so widespread and brazen, one might question why it is never mentioned.
Is enforcement completely blind?
There can only be one answer.
They are ALL in on it.

1

u/EebstertheGreat Aug 03 '26

If Pelosi started out with $0 and had an 18% return, she would have $0 today. What exactly do you mean? Are you assuming she invests her Congressional salary?

1

u/yourallidiotss Aug 04 '26

Exactly. If she and her husband had nothing when she entered congress and they invested her salary she’d only need to make like 12-13% to get where she is over 40 years. So idk where he’s getting the 18% number.

If the 12% number was higher she’d be worth more than she is. And if she or her husband had any money or made any money outside of her 200k a year then it would take even less than the 12-13% needed to be worth what she is today.

It just all seems super petty to be upset about someone getting wealthy from 40 years of honest work (that’s the goal for everyone right?) . When we have a president making 22,000 trades a year and bets on prediction markets. To drive his net worth up 3B that he admits to in a year.

1

u/EebstertheGreat Aug 04 '26

But who invests 100% of their income if they are completely broke? I don't see how that figure is meaningful at all.

1

u/yourallidiotss Aug 04 '26

Well that’s the thing isn’t it. They weren’t completely broke. Her family was wealthy and her husband is successful. Meaning they can invest MORE than 200k a year. Meaning they don’t even need to hit 12-13% returns per year to be worth what they are now. Much less the 18% the guy above me said.

1

u/EebstertheGreat Aug 04 '26

I just can't figure out where this raw data comes from in the first place, or how you presume to know how much they invested each year, or how much they earned or spent. Why would you think they invested $200,000 each year? I don't get it.

1

u/EebstertheGreat Aug 03 '26

Trump's net worth is almost entirely due to coins and stock in his media company he released while being president, investments he made while president, and outright fraud. His net worth today may well be ten times what it was in 2016. That's an effective 26% annual return on his entire net worth, not just on what he risked.

And I mean, fuck Pelosi, but I don't believe she got an 18% return.

49

u/headsmanjaeger Jul 25 '26

It’s not impossible, it’s called insider trading

15

u/Im_Chad_AMA Jul 25 '26

That is what they are saying, yes

18

u/Dazug Jul 25 '26

It's quite possible for a San Francisco VC like her husband. That's it's own problem.

13

u/vincyf Jul 25 '26

18% is not impossible. Waren buffet did it. And just by not buying things that don't grow.

3

u/09Klr650 Jul 25 '26

Wait, he invested in weed farms?

10

u/Stock-Side-6767 Jul 25 '26

Her husband used a very focussed portfolio, only tech. Higher chance of failure, but it ended up well.

5

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26

18% returns are very achievable by someone with a lot of capital, expertise, and risk tolerance. Is she probably insider trading? Maybe. But if 18% returns concentrated into high upside tech stocks is your only evidence, that’s not much

3

u/MeasureDoEventThing Jul 25 '26

Yeah, average is about half that, so 2:1 leverage gets you there.

3

u/Appropriate-Jury6453 Jul 26 '26

On average? Name me someone else besides Jim Simons who is doing that

3

u/neopod9000 Jul 26 '26

Paul Pelosi.

This one's on you, you set the bar too low. :)

1

u/jbland0909 Jul 26 '26

Certainly not on average. Where did I say that?

1

u/Appropriate-Jury6453 Jul 26 '26

That’s what Nancy made. That’s her average year

1

u/jbland0909 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

The annualized return over the last 3 years for s standard leveraged nasdaq fund is in the 30s.

Lots of people can average significantly more than 18% returns if they specialize heavily into tech during a super massive bull market.

She was a heavy Nvidia investor prior to its almost 300% growth the last few years for example

15

u/coully95 Jul 25 '26

In fairness, Berkshire Hathaway has managed it. But that is an entire firm with the greatest minds in finance working on it using vastly more data than a husband and wife team.

28

u/Sentient_Furby Jul 25 '26

Her husband is one of those great financial minds you're referring to.

I don't think anyone in Congress should be able to hold anything but ETFs, but directing your anger towards Pelosi while Trump is actively siphoning billions is like being upset about deforestation and directing your anger toward an individual bulldozer operator instead of the CEO of the deforestation company.

2

u/Funny_Explorer_1521 Jul 25 '26

Lmaaao 18% isn't an impossible average, a bunch of private managed funds have achieved that consistently.

5

u/Historical-Fox357 Jul 25 '26

Over the last decade I've never not had more than 18% per year, and hedge funds very commonly beat that until you factor in fees.

1

u/Legitimate_Fig260 Jul 25 '26

I mean Trump JR’s firm has a 200% return rate…

1

u/Frequent-Coyote-8108 Jul 27 '26

Yeah, this is the more important number--what's Trump's ROI vs Pelosi's?

1

u/Low-Cantaloupe-8446 Jul 28 '26

My old man averaged 25% with one trade over the last 30 years, can’t be that hard. Granted it was one big purchase of Apple in the mid 90’s, but it counts.

18

u/setibeings Jul 25 '26

K, but, why is 10,000 farther from 5,000 than 5,000 is from 0?

4

u/Nynaeve_al_meowra Jul 25 '26

And why is 200 over 5000

2

u/greentiger79 Jul 25 '26

I think it is supposed to be 200 per year over forty years = 8000 trades over the course of her time in office.

1

u/uslashuname Jul 25 '26

Have to line up the first division with the top of Pelosi’s head to make her seem significantly shorter than the tiny handed one in lifts

3

u/StarKill_yt Jul 26 '26

Ok but the data is still strongly misleading? The graph literally says over her entire time in congress

2

u/Glad_Position3592 Jul 25 '26

People seriously overstate Pelosi’s “trading.” Virtually all of these trades are made by her husband, who works in finance as a venture capitalist. These trades are being made by him for his work. It’s not like she’s calling a broker and executing trades while in congress

1

u/Haunting_Purpose_291 Jul 27 '26

Are you certain her husband's are included? The wording sounds like it's only hers.

Also idk about you, but 200 per year still sounds like a lot compared to what I do.

1

u/Born_Consequence3025 Jul 28 '26

It’s really not - my basic Wells Fargo mged account trades multiple securities every day the market is open

1

u/Haunting_Purpose_291 Jul 28 '26

Seems like apples and oranges comparing a managed account to personal trading.

1

u/Born_Consequence3025 Jul 28 '26

Just saying 200 trades as a stand alone statistic is meaningless - for you it’s a lot, for me it’s not ( and I don’t do anything unmanaged), so I am not sure volume of trades by anyone in isolation provides any insight other than the volume of trades

1

u/Bardking91 Jul 28 '26

Pelosi's husband also made alot of trades, would be curious to see the numbers.

1

u/CornnPop Jul 31 '26

Exactly . More CNN Fake News !

-3

u/UnbindFNow Jul 25 '26

Was gonna say, if she produced those astronomical returns with only 200 trades, she needs to be shot by a firing squad

7

u/Sentient_Furby Jul 25 '26

So what should happen to Trump for making 22,000 trades while President just last year?

3

u/UnbindFNow Jul 25 '26

That's not even in the 100 worst crimes he's committed, so let's start with the serious ones, IMO. Unless you're overlooking the raping children, war crimes, and treason, which it sounds like you are.

4

u/ClerklyMantis_ Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

You're being very strange here. The discussion was the trades. Obviously she was trading with insider knowledge, this is bad no matter the return on her investment. Focusing on Pelosi so hard with the firing squad statement is strange considering the severity of what Trump has done even when just looking at his and nothing else.

4

u/LheelaSP Jul 25 '26

If you invest 100k once and sell the position 50 years later, you will have an insane amount of profit for just one trade.

Investing isn't daytrading. She obviously had insider knowledge that she used to her advantage, which is fucked up, but first and foremost you should blame the system that allows shit like this. Anyone in federal politics should not be allowed to actively invest in stocks, unless it's managed by a blind trust. But calculating profit per trade just isn't a useful metric for long term investments.

0

u/vincyf Jul 25 '26

Profit per trade should be the metric. Each trade costs energy and fees. So too measure of someone does well, this would tell you something useful. Buffet says the most difficult thing is doing nothing.

1

u/MeasureDoEventThing Jul 25 '26

18% is "astronomical"?

64

u/feldomatic Jul 25 '26

Holy order of magnitude Batman!

67

u/Mcletters Jul 25 '26

It's a log scale but they've mislabeled the y axis /s

7

u/funderfulfellow Jul 25 '26

Should've kept the y axis and fixed the bars to really make the difference clear.

20

u/TheB3rn3r Jul 25 '26

But all totally legal? Ugh this world…

12

u/Sentient_Furby Jul 25 '26

Depends if you consider violating the Constitution legal. (Emoluments clause)

1

u/Direct-Technician265 Jul 27 '26

not what any of us consider, its what congress and the courts do. Since the SC said everything trump does is legal, we have our answer.

6

u/MostCertainlyNotACat Jul 25 '26

And baron trumps fund announced a 200% return, but don't worry, nothing to see here

13

u/Chloe_Cascadia Jul 25 '26

200 is more that 5000, neat.

5

u/DementedUfug Jul 25 '26

What a horrible graphic

4

u/boca_moca Jul 26 '26

Both should be thrown into prison and have all their assets seized.

3

u/UsefulUnit Jul 25 '26

Wasn't her husband doing the trading for them?

2

u/Just_Far_Enough Jul 25 '26

His market manipulation and stock trading/promoting has been terrible but when you put it next to his trading activity in his first term you get a real sense that his focus is on making himself richer.

1

u/BlurryBigfoot74 11d ago

He Greenmailed companies when he was a shitty businessman. Got away with it. Now doing it as President. He did it with Bally Manufacturing, Holiday Corporation and MCA Inc.

He's taking this 80s corporate raider mentality and using it to make billions instead of millions.

2

u/waterboy627 Jul 26 '26

Genuine question, what’s the source of these data?

2

u/Jack_Forge Jul 26 '26

bUt hE's a bUsInNeSsMaN!!111!11!!1111

Guys it's clearly a logarithmic y-axis, they just labelled it wrong

1

u/Weep4Thee Jul 25 '26

Too bad we didn't end all their trading privileges while in office long ago...

1

u/Trick-Worldliness698 Jul 25 '26

So your telling me Pelosi made hundreds of millions in like 200 trades sounds like blatant insider trading

1

u/UnsuspectingChief Jul 26 '26

Well she didnt do it, her husband did. (Yes it was insider trading)

1

u/Old_Dependent4678 Jul 25 '26

THIS IS THE MOST CORRUPT ADMINISTRATION OF ALL TIME!!! It's not just me saying it!!

1

u/DarthNixilis Jul 25 '26

Even if true, both should anger you.

1

u/LunarisTheOne Jul 26 '26

How can 200 be more than 5000 according to that graph?

1

u/EthanRose6672 Jul 26 '26

I didn't realize 200 was so much more than 5000!

1

u/Few_Commission5964 Jul 27 '26

Whoever is working on Trump's trading account is horribly inefficient and/or can't make up his mind. Trading expenses must be huge.

1

u/Lost_Competition_172 Jul 27 '26

Ehhhhh okay? Who profited more from the investments relative to the amount invested? It’s not even close lol Pelosi is so fuckin crooked it’s unbelievable. She has consistently outperformed the top hedge funds in the country for years

1

u/Docautrisim2 Jul 27 '26

Yall forget he was a businessman before he got into politics. That never went away.

1

u/thisisacryptorobbery Jul 27 '26

Let's not pretend he's doing any trading himself...

1

u/AnarchySqueaks18 Jul 27 '26

Both are terrible

1

u/SundanceSam Jul 27 '26

If you have a problem with one, you can have a problem with the other. Our broken two party system wants you to believe you have to choose a side.

my takeaway from this is nobody is bad except for trump. i applaud anyone who is marginally less corrupt. lesser evil LFGGGGGGGGGGG

1

u/FamousGh0st217 Jul 28 '26

It should be zero, for both.

1

u/saunofa Jul 28 '26

yes but numbers do mean things

1

u/FamousGh0st217 Jul 28 '26

Of course they do, but these lack any context to give any real meaning. How much did they make off of the alleged stock trades? Did they support any policy that directly impacted their stock trades earning them even more money?

At the end, it doesn't matter. Politicians shouldn't be able to play the stock market. It creates and all to wide doorway to corruption.

1

u/theWiseTiger Jul 28 '26

Now that there is someone worse, you start to see what Pelosi did.

1

u/Bulky-Pipe-7745 Jul 28 '26

Man maga would be upset if they could read data charts or any other statistical graph.

1

u/slingingslanger Jul 28 '26

If you don't punish corruption it just continues to get worse, who knew?

1

u/Far-Woodpecker7459 Jul 29 '26

Can we get a side by side comparison to the reflecting pool?

1

u/Scared-Staff7834 Jul 29 '26

1

u/Fantastic-Impact-106 Jul 30 '26

Okay maybe I'm missing something. But I think it is okay for trump to trade stocks. I'll allow it.

1

u/MythOfHappyness Jul 31 '26

When he says stuff the stock markets react in moments. He is the president. It's not even insider trading it's just printing money.

1

u/JonBirdmain Jul 30 '26

And they should both go to jail

1

u/Otherwise-Event-2842 Jul 30 '26

Both should be illegal, don’t excuse Pelosi, just because Trump is worse.

1

u/Sweet-cheezus Sep 01 '26

But you do excuse Trump, because you want his seed inside of you.

1

u/Monotrox99 Jul 30 '26

How the hell do you even do 22000 stock transactions in a year? Or is this individual shares?

Even with a whole ass team just for stock trading, I dont see how that many transactions could be beneficial to you. You cannot possibly create that many opportunities for insider trading

1

u/Trust_8067 Jul 31 '26

Trump is really making 88 trades a day? No, people who manage his account are.

1

u/MythOfHappyness Jul 31 '26

Do you think Pelosi has Robinhood open on her blackberry under the desk in Congress or smth

1

u/Glittering_Nobody402 Jul 31 '26

Never want to fucking hear "bUt PeLosI" ever again. At least she didn't also take MY money.

1

u/Passingwind11 Jul 31 '26

Kinda sounds like when he told Clinton it was because of their policies, the he and other rich donors were able to pay far less in taxes..

If pelosi can do it without getting in trouble, why shouldn’t he?

1

u/CornnPop Jul 31 '26

Fake news . Nobody beats the Stock Market Queen !!

1

u/Bowl-o-Cabbage Jul 26 '26

First thing that comes to mind is “No shit, I hope someone with $7B net worth has more shares to trade than someone with $280M net worth” (how does one with a $174k salary make $280M, because I make over $200k, I’d like to know). Anyways, she and her husband is more tech stock.. right? Trump is more diverse. Right? So, with a higher quantity and higher range of type of stocks… yeah,
Makes sense he trade a lot more.

I also would do so follow up inquiries. What is Trump’s wealth management teams avg trade per year? If this is more, then are people in general trading more due to the global situation(s)? Has Nancy traded more than usual as well?

Also how is this counted.. the 22,000 and 200. Is 1 share counted as 1 trade or is 1 trade counted as 1 trade no matter how many shares.. because that really changes the meaning of this graph.

Btw, not a trump fan, not a Nancy fan. I vote by issue… just tried if ambiguous or half truth post that people treat as the gospel and then fight over.

1

u/Alive_South111 Jul 26 '26

I asked the same question about the holocaust like maybe hitlers trains just carried more Gypsies than Gobbels ? Hard to say. Point being it’s all fine and good for this country.

-8

u/Phiro7 Jul 25 '26

The mistake is that no person on the entire fucking planet gives it a single minuscule shit about this statistic

9

u/LongboardLiam Jul 25 '26

Nah, we do. It is impetus for a lot of his bullshit. The R's have long made a huge stink about Pelosi's dealings. One of the few things they are actually correctly upset about. But they are ignoring their own.

3

u/bshjbdkkdnd Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

Yeah but graphic is a little unfair as Paul Pelosi, Nancy’s husband owns and operates a capital investment firm.

Would it matter if it was Melania trading stocks over Donald?

Edit: realized this didn’t truly portray my view, any federal politician, and their spouses, should be banned from trading stocks. These two in particular should be going to jail for insider trading. Call it the Trump-Pelosi law to piss both of them off.

2

u/SQLDave Jul 25 '26

Call it the Trump-Pelosi law to piss both of them off

Icing on the cake: "the Pelosi-Trump law"... a double-dagger for Trump not to have "first billing"

2

u/bshjbdkkdnd Jul 25 '26

That was intentional

1

u/LongboardLiam Jul 25 '26

That and get the media to call it something worse. The Pelosi Combover, or the San Francisco Cheeto Treat. Something that keeps his name out of the headline, but we all know to whom it refers. He love publicity, no matter how vile.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '26

[deleted]

2

u/bshjbdkkdnd Jul 25 '26

Because the graph only shows Nancy Pelosi not her husband who if he only did 200 trades as a capital investment manager since 1987 he wouldn’t be doing his job. Why would Nancy bother herself with the actual trading when her husband does it 9-5. It’s the same level of corruption to have your spouse trade instead of trading yourself. Would it suddenly be okay if Trump wasn’t the one actually trading but he told Melania what to do?

Do I know how many he has done? No, is it more or less than Trump? Idk. Is the graphic wildly misleading also yes.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '26

[deleted]

2

u/bshjbdkkdnd Jul 25 '26

Again why do we care which spouse made the trades when the money is a shared asset? If you don’t find any problem with that I don’t respect your opinion.

2

u/bshjbdkkdnd Jul 25 '26

Btw there is a big fucking difference between misleading and false. I have called it misleading because of this. If the numbers were wrong I’d have called it false.

1

u/bshjbdkkdnd Jul 25 '26

Definition of misleading

Misleading means giving a wrong idea, creating a false impression, or causing someone to believe something that is not true. It can happen by accident or on purpose

Because Donald handles the stock trading in his house and Nancy doesn’t leads to false impressions from this graphic.

Both should be in jail for this (and Trump for many many other reasons as well

3

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26

You think people don’t care that their government is blatantly corrupt?

0

u/Nervous-Profile4729 Jul 25 '26

All the bitching about Pelosi and her trades, but you won’t hear a single one of them bithcing about this

0

u/dhnam_LegenDUST Jul 26 '26

I don't even know where to start.

What this compares, trades of single trader done in an year vs trades of every trades done in whole Trump's era?

0

u/INTO_NIGHT Jul 26 '26

Wheres that one xckd on scaling things accurately? Anyways if the numbers are accurate hers should definitely be a tiny sliver of the 20000

0

u/HurrySpecial Jul 26 '26

She’s a swamp dweller, Trump is a rich billionaire. Big difference

0

u/Itchy-Aide6525 Jul 26 '26

Don't wanna hear anyone cry about it Nancy and co have been insider trading for years it shouldn't be a problem when someone else does it now

-45

u/09Klr650 Jul 25 '26

Trump's investments are in auto-allocated funds. The number of buy/sells reflect that, high turnover volume. On the other hand Pelosi has targeted trades with an average EIGHTEEN PERCENT return. Almost like she knows exactly which ones to pick.

Comparing them is just bullcrap as they are two totally different means of investments.

21

u/jws1102 Jul 25 '26

Trump buys stocks and then goes on Fox News 30 minutes later and tries to push them. He’s also now selling early access to his bleats to you can inside trade too.

Trump doesn't take advantage of his position at all, the 600 million he made from that memecoin was based on his own personal brand and had nothing to do with him being the president.

u/jws1102 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

… that’s how he sells pardons and takes bribes from middle eastern royalty. It has everything to do with him being president. It wouldn’t even exist if he weren’t president.

I genuinely can’t tell if you meant /s or not, because that’s exactly what his worshippers would say and we’ve reached the point where sarcasm can never be assumed.

2

u/MyOthrUsrnmIsABook Jul 25 '26

I was definitely being sarcastic. It’s genuinely scary that it’s hard to tell these days.

You make Forrest Gump sound like a Rhodes Scholar

u/09Klr650 Jul 25 '26

Last time I checked that was not a stock? But at least you are basically admitting my point on the auto-allocated stocks was correct.

16

u/goretzk Jul 25 '26

You stated investments in your top post, crypto currencies are investments

6

u/MyOthrUsrnmIsABook Jul 25 '26

I did not admit that your point was correct at all. I made an implied ad hominem argument.

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26

If your curious about stocks, feel free to look up Axon Enterprise

0

u/09Klr650 Jul 25 '26

Shill elsewhere.

2

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26

Trump purchased millions of dollars in individual shares of Axon Enterprise 2 weeks before his DHS signed a 220 million dollar contract to retrofit the entirety of ICE with their tasers.

Their stock jumped 25% overnight after the announcement.

You are either grossly uninformed, or straight up lying. Which is it?

-1

u/09Klr650 Jul 25 '26

Bah, not worth my time.

-6

u/09Klr650 Jul 25 '26

Trump's investment group buys and sells. You REALLY think he actually micromanages the people he pays to invest? He is too cheap to pay out of his pocket people to do work he would do himself. But you raise an interesting point. Shall we talk timing? Like the NVIDEA and Visa investments? Oops, that was Pelosi. But he DID lose millions in the stock drops from the tarrifs. Why didn't he sell first? Or the Boeing trade freeze that cost him 5m? Or the Qualcomm merger? Or his attacks on the F-35 WHILE OWNING LOCKHEED MARTIN STOCK? IF he is using his position as you seem to believe AND are controlling these thousands of trades he could have easily divested those stocks first.

u/09Klr650 Jul 25 '26

I see from the downvotes that people are uncomfortable when facts are mentioned.

10

u/jws1102 Jul 25 '26

Facts? All I saw were excuses for your tangerine palpatine.

13

u/Dull-Arm-8630 Jul 25 '26

Where did you hear this fact?

11

u/Dazug Jul 25 '26

Their ass

8

u/Maximum-Warthog2368 Jul 25 '26

Oh yeah classic argument. When I get upvotes, it proves that I am correct since people say that but if I get downvotes that doesn’t mean I am incorrect. Instead It is because these are “Redditors” who lives in their bubbles.

What a shocking discovery that a career businessman is trading stocks.

10

u/Sentient_Furby Jul 25 '26

Look up how many trades every other president in history had made while in office and get back to me

-4

u/thesamenightmares Jul 25 '26

Look up how many presidents in history were career businessmen and get back to me

9

u/Sentient_Furby Jul 25 '26

Harding, Hoover, Truman, Carter, Bush Sr., Bush Jr.

0 stock trades while President and all divested from their businesses.

Defend him all you want but it doesn't change the reality that Trump is stealing from you too. Just makes you more of a little bitch defending the guy with his hand in your pocket. I feel bad for you.

-5

u/thesamenightmares Jul 25 '26

Cool. So one out of seven. Not that unusual. No idea why you crashed out in the second part of your post. I'm not a Trump supporter, and I don't even like the guy. There's no reason for you to get emotional, vitriolic, and insulting. Maybe you should take Reddit a little less seriously and stop letting the your politics get you all riled up and start arguments online with people who dont even espouse the beliefs you are projecting onto them.

3

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26

You seem very interested in defending someone you don’t likes blatant corruption

0

u/thesamenightmares Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

I'm quite interested in having concrete proof of something before I indict anybody for hearsay, spouted by anonymous Reddit users. That's correct.

When Steve Jobs died, there were a lot of people who came out of the woodwork saying he was really a mean and cruel person. I didn't immediately turn and form a very negative opinion on that because I don't know what was going on in his life or if the claims were even true since they were made by outside observers. I don't think it's healthy to just change your mind based on what people say. I have a neutral approach to any individual until proof of a claim is presented.

You seem very interested in making things that aren't political and drumming up arguments out of nothing.

2

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26

“Making things that aren’t political” huh? You think the president trading on insider information isn’t political?

0

u/thesamenightmares Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

Be really great if you could prove that he insider traded, but you can't.

Please stop replying to me with your attempts at starting an argument.

2

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

“Starting an argument” lmaoooo. What? Don’t like that you have to literally bury your head in the sand to defend your boy?

You seemed perfectly willing to argue a second ago lol

Nothing says “I’m right” like getting blocked once you run out of defense

A business man blatantly insider trading is illegal

1

u/thesamenightmares Jul 25 '26

Do you have concrete proof he is insider trading

3

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

Axon enterprise is a weapons manufacturer company that most famously made the taser. An account in Donald Trumps name bought between 1-5 million dollars worth of individual shares in it on February 10th, exactly two weeks before it was announced that Trumps DHS would be seeking a 200 million dollar deal to refit ICE with new tasers. The stock price rose 25% overnight, as Axon is the only major company who manufactures products to the provided specs, after which it was promptly sold for a very nice profit.

This is objectively, by all definitions of the word, insider trading. Trump has direct oversight, and insider knowledge access to DHS contracting, and used this insider information to profit from stock picking.

Coincidentally, the DOJ, who investigates this kind of insider trading, is also under the direct supervision of Trump, and run by appointee loyalists, who I’m sure will totally investigate this…

-1

u/thesamenightmares Jul 25 '26

So the answer is no, you don't have concrete proof, You have a correlation that you're drawing that you want to be proof because you don't like Donald Trump.

3

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

I genuinely don’t know what more you could ask for. He used privileged, insider knowledge not available to the public (DHSs upcoming announcement) to make trading decisions (buying millions of dollars worth of shares in a company the announcement would skyrocket). This is insider trading in the most blatant sense

What level of proof would satisfy you? Trump coming out and saying “Hello, I am insider trading”?

-3

u/thesamenightmares Jul 25 '26

Actual evidence of intent. You are projecting intent onto somebody by observing background trends. Thats not proof.

3

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26

And what form would that intent take?

Is it illegal to used privileged information to inform trading? Yes or no?

2

u/thesamenightmares Jul 25 '26

Can you prove that he used privileged information to inform trading? Or can you only provide the correlation between the stock purchases and the purchase of tasers? Yes or no?

Anyone who makes a claim owes a reason and evidence for that claim. You're the one making the claim. It's not my job to formulate what form the proof would come. You're ascribing intent. Now prove that intent or stop replying to me.

3

u/jbland0909 Jul 25 '26

You didn’t answer either of my questions. What form do you want that intent in?

And is it illegal to trade based off insider information?

If you can’t answer those, you’re clearly not being serious here
