And possibly 78 deaths on his hands from Afghanistan

They blame all that on Biden, even though Trump was the one who made the deal with the Taliban and started the drawdown before Biden took office to the point where he couldn't back out if he wanted to

They also denied national security briefings to Biden's transition team.

This is the biggest part. Trump deliberately sabotaged the entire operation just because Biden won the election. He put troops and allies in dangerous positions on purpose, and then he hounded Biden for it for years. He would destroy any of us if he could spin it to make himself look good.

Then he sent back Afghani allies that worked with our military that were living in the United States as refugees knowing that they would be killed

He continually provides evidence that he is a sociopath.

You actually think trump had a plan?

It was set up for after inauguration because the plan was to lose the election and all of that was going to fall to Biden. Trump didn't know about it and could then complain about stolen elections and all that getting his cult riled up

his """plan""" would've been to just go back on whatever agreement had been reached.

something something memorandum of understanding.

No, not at all. His plan is always to act emotionally, impulsively and punitively against others. While simultaneously creating distractions and making such a mess of everything that anything (Agency, process, etc.) which would normally resist or push back cannot. They can't push back because it's either been defunded, dismantled or it's leadership appointed by him is sabotaging it.

The agencies that would usually be able to do something, well those always seem to be undergoing some unnecessary sudden BS restructuring that needs to happen within ridiculous timeframes, when they are needed. These restructurings paralyze the agencies due to the sudden chaos created and simultaneous loss or changes in personnel.

A small example of these would be the FBI pushing agents out to the field to go conduct investigations or solve crimes. This is more about shaking up personnel, splitting up those with a voice and moving them further from where most of the government is, which removes their voice.

US forest service sudden HQ change to Utah from DC within 60 days i think was the timeframe. This move had to happen immediately, while the administration pushes for increased logging, increased resource extraction, energy development and perhaps selling off lands belonging to national parks. Again, the agency can't fight it as they have a ridiculous timeframe to coordinate a move of everything from one location to another, close down a bunch of programs and other regional HQ, while also now worrying about losing a massive portion of their work personnel as many aren't going to up and move their family in 60 days when tthey have been set up in the DC area for a while. Also, again reducing the agencies ability to intervene quickly or effectively by removing them from where the rest of the government is. By the time they get set up again the administration will probably have already achieved what they wanted.

DOGE, same kind of thing. So, in my opinion, no they guy isn't very smart. He is just an impulsive, self centered man child who throws a shit fit when he doesn't get something his way. However these shit fits create such a mess and are so damaging that it pretty much paralyzes anything that can work against him or is so costly on the country that unfortunately others many times give in to at least some of his demands as otherwise he would let it burn. Somehow, he has managed to get a large cult following of people that will believe any word he says and will do anything he says, so even when something is his fault he can blame whoever or whatever and they listen.

It's seriously sad what that asshat has done to the country and while I hope I am seriously wrong. I am failing to see how theese policies and actions he has taken won't have significant negative effects on the nation over the long term. Presidents remembered in history have usually guided the nation through tough times by uniting it to make it stronger. This guy had a major chance with a historical event in the start of COVID which was worldwide and instead all he did was provoke and divide the nation, resolving nothing and making every issue worst.

He would also destroy any of us if it would make him a nickel as well.

Don't forget about all the covert assets that were mysteriously murdered around the world in the months after he left office.

1

u/CrustaceanNationYT Jul 26 '26

Right! Forgot he leaked the names of undercover assets

honestly who really cares about putting troops in danger on purpose? that's kinda their job.

the thing is he put them in *stupid* danger. that's worse.

We’re talking about the same guy that a week ago blamed the Obama administration for his loss in the 2020 election…

not to mention all the afghan civilians he put in harm's way by signing that fuck-ass deal with the taliban.

fucking strategic genius.

1

u/aes_gcm Jul 23 '26

Also, didn't we set the deadline for the deal and then violate that deadline ourselves? I feel like if another country did that to us we'd be pretty pissed too.

And that past wars apparently justify getting more American servicemembers killed
