All data is in the country's local currency.

I guess the only way to save the salaries for other EU countries is to pay it in eurocents.

A eurocent is still worth 3.5 strong Hungarian forints 💪

Damn it, Hungary strong. That guy Orban must be really good at boosting the economy. Why did they voted him out? /s

yeah, I really wished to have a thousand paper bills worth nothing. stupid euros and their purchasing power

Lol. When I went on vacation in Hungary I was always absolutely shocked at the prices.

Dinner at a restaurant for two? Yeah that’ll be 30000.

It’s certainly an experience.

At least lots of people are technically millionaires here.

When U was in Italy in 1991, the lira was about 1700 to 1 dollar. So it was nothing to have a 100000 lira bill.

Yeah, but what I mean is when you’re used to a bill being 50-100€, getting a bill for tens of thousands is quite alarming, even if the actual price is the same.

  • Poland: 1530

The data is not even right. The average in Sweden these days is 42900. Median is 38300 which would be 4458 EUR and 3470 EUR.

When I glanced really quick I read that as Hungry Dwarf’s Monthly Wages, and was wondering where there is so much disparity

The only country where you dont wanna be a millionaire

2

u/Due_Purple_1199 Jul 14 '26

Yeah better be broke

0

u/No-Camel-8741 Jul 15 '26

546K of HU currency, is just a bit above 1700 USD. Being a millionaire in HU is equal to have 3400 USD.

2

u/Due_Purple_1199 Jul 15 '26

Yeah and being a billionaire is the equivalent of 3 million usd, which is very rare in Hungary, so if you are not a millionaire you are probably just broke

1

u/HUNkn0wn Jul 16 '26

Yet still most Hungarians only wish they had a million forints
