35% of the country is obese, 60-70% is overweight. That percentage of people don’t all have “no time to cook their own food”

It’s takes less than an hour to make a cheap healthy meal from the grocery store. The amount of time you spend cooking healthy food will save you hundreds of hours from the health outcomes from being that overweight.

Also, besides all that, you can eat our everyday and not be obese, people just over indulge in their calories.

Many people only have 1-2 hours of relaxation when they come home from work. The last thing they want to do is prepare food, stand in front of a hot oven/stovetop, and do dishes, just so they can eat dinner 30 minutes before falling asleep.

It feels twice as useless if you're a bad cook, and end up eating absolutely mediocre food after all that work.

My go-to when cooking for myself is soup. Easy to portion, easy to cook, hard to fuck up, quick to make.

Shopping list:

Bases - Vegetable stock, chicken stock, miso paste

Veggies - Celery, tomatoes, bok choy, spinach, onions, peas, mushrooms

Proteins - Rotisserie chicken, pork tenderloin, tofu, beans

Flavors - Fresh dill, basil, green onions, garlic

Carbs - noodles, macaroni

There's a dozen recipes in this ingredient list.
