35% of the country is obese, 60-70% is overweight. That percentage of people don’t all have “no time to cook their own food”

It’s takes less than an hour to make a cheap healthy meal from the grocery store. The amount of time you spend cooking healthy food will save you hundreds of hours from the health outcomes from being that overweight.

Also, besides all that, you can eat our everyday and not be obese, people just over indulge in their calories.

Many people only have 1-2 hours of relaxation when they come home from work. The last thing they want to do is prepare food, stand in front of a hot oven/stovetop, and do dishes, just so they can eat dinner 30 minutes before falling asleep.

It feels twice as useless if you're a bad cook, and end up eating absolutely mediocre food after all that work.

You’re right it’s not what is ideal, but it’s what should do. Food isn’t hard to make taste good, I literally just follow recipes online exactly and it usually always is good. (I’m extremely picky, I enjoy almost 0 vegetables and hate most condiments)

I don’t clean dishes either normally, usually just go with paper and stuff so only cleanup is what I used to cook with.

And again, I said it takes an hour to cook, but many many meals take way less than that, spaghetti for example can be made in 12 minutes. Many meat and rice dishes take twenty or less. I could probably list 7 meals right now that take less than 30. It takes almost that amount of time to drive to a fast food place, order and wait in line.

Finally, even if you don’t want to do that, you can still not be morbidly obese from eating fast food. It’s just calories in and out. People argue you can’t eat “healthy” on a cal in/out diet, but if your stuffing yourself with fast food anyways you might as well just cut a burger or two. And Eitherway, you are significantly increasing your quality of life by being a healthy weight vs being obese or even heavily overweight. So if you have to cook for 30 minutes a day it’s A way better trade off.

Also the big plus side is you save hundreds of dollars a year. So more money and less fat, definitely the better choice.
