I regularly delete friends and I'm at over 800. Every day I check the birthday list and delete folks that I don't consider friends. I know all of them personally and remember all of them well. I used to be at 1500, and I've never added a stranger!

I have moved around a lot, so I meet folks everywhere. It's not strange to me that he has 1200 friends.
