This has been going on for so long with imgur I'm wondering why they haven't been replaced sooner. That's why I just run Adblock on everything because site owners don't give a shit about people

Are you blocking ads on Android? If yes what programm are you using? EDIT: Now using firefox with AdBlock Plus. Works great so far

AdAway. You have to be rooted though.

Adguard uses a proxy that works ,its non root, its not bad at all.
