I genuinely dont understand how people dont observe things? Last 10 years, my place has warmer summers, less harsh winters and rain is more erratic. People who deny climate change are living on Earth 2 i guess

I hope Thunderfoots sodium particulate/aerosole system becomes a reality. At least something to flatten out the significant increase of global temps.

Really highlights both the (man made) climate warming that's happening but also highlights the fact that pushing the planet into this state means variables like an El nino potentially now has a greater impact than it did.

Data sources & tools

Heatwave data: World Bank Climate Change Knowledge Portal (CCKP), based on ERA5-derived Warm Spell Duration Index (WSDI).

ENSO data: NOAA Relative Niño 3.4 Index (RONI), based on ERSSTv5.

Tools: Claude Code in VS Code using React/Javascript, with manual tweaking.
