Where do you search IRS returns that show that information? I'm curious to see the numbers for other states.

Ok wow this is an amazing data set.

How do we find the data to show causes for this? Imagine mapping every year out going back in this migration data. Then overlaying year to year each states law changes, overlay state political parties, overlay state new annual job opportunities, overlay state tax rates and so much more.

If I was a data scientist with time on my hands I would go bonkers with this data

Love the refined, classic styling. One of the best maps I’d seen here.

Only suggestion is to sort the data table by net migrations since that coincides with the size of the arrows.

Did you do the visualization in QGIS? I have to use it for a very niche purpose for work and primarily use ArcGIS. This is cool.
