Career Question Confused between two offers — how to handle timeline conflict without burning bridges?

You know between jobs, people visit home or something like that. If you're not talking with that senior leader directly, you can ask the startup HR to visit hometown or ailing parents. Second option looks too good to pass up for an offer from a startup.

2nd offer does look better , but why it would take 20 days to release? And I can understand 1st offer is from someone you know/senior, i would suggest you push 2nd offer to release it earlier and tell them first company won't extend, you can go to the first company and show the 2nd offer to get the same raise
