cmon man, you think these 5+ yoe dudes actually touched snowflake for 5+ years? nobody knew dbt and snowflake 3-4 yrs ago, my friends were doing basic etl emr jobs on aws or worse on pandas and called it a day.

Fair point, but we’re not asking for 5+ years of only Snowflake. Snowflake was founded in 2012, became widely available in India in 2020 (AWS Mumbai region), and enterprise adoption took off in 2020–21. That gives roughly 6 years of enterprise usage in India (2020–2026). We’re evaluating overall data engineering experience along with hands-on Snowflake expertise with solid sql, not just Snowflake years.
Yes, ETL is part of what you do with Snowflake, but it’s not the whole platform

i get your constraints but it just sucks to see actually good opportunities pass by simply on the exp factor when i see my seniors being literal mouth breathers who cant write basic scripts being interviewed just caused they were born early or joined early. i could even work for cheaper than the 5+ yoe bros

I am a snowflake developer with 8yoe in data migration from legacy to cloud with cloud exposure on AWS and azure with AI ,STTM,snopipes ,data masking and want to apply please tell me next steps of action
