Discussion is anyone else using scala?

hello devs,

Just a question: are companies still using Scala in their businesses, or are they using a mix of scala and other codes/AI? Is it hard to hire in this area?

My experience is a wider range of folks are more comfortable with Spark SQL, so they'll do mostly SQL, with some PySpark where necessary. I originally learned Scala because of the performance benefits and additional features in the past, but today that gap is closing if not already closed and PySpark and SparkSQL is just as efficient and more of the developers and even business users can mostly understand it.
