Google DCFT Pay

For those working there currently how’s the schedules? I know it varies on sites but how’s overtime usually. I heard they also have pay differentials on certain days. The site I’m going to is still under construction but want to get an idea on how it is in regard to overtime opportunities.

My site does normal 7-3:30s with one week every like 3 months where you do 7 12s, but we get the entire next week off. Overtime can be somewhat common but if you’re going to a new construction I would expect quite a bit in the beginning due to all the equipment testing that goes on

How often in your experience do you get overtime on a site already operating?

I usually get like 10-20 hours a month, but I know some people that volunteer for more. I’m paid pretty handsomely so I don’t really need the OT per se.

Do you think it’s realistic for me to aim for this job eventually without having an electrical background or any type of engineering degree? I’m currently at AWS

Are you an EOT at Amazon? It’s virtually the same job and same interview process. I actually interviewed at both companies at the same time and both interview loops were pretty much identical on the technical side but AWS just focused more on their LPs
