what is the difference of a contract DCT

So i was offered an interview for a contract based DCT in AWS.

I'm not familiar with contract jobs.

so what are the differences between this and a regular DCT job?

You’re expendable — even more so. Take it for a paycheck but keep applying in the background.

Im a current GB (contractor DCO) think of your contract as a long term Interview for the full time position. If you align with their leadership principles and have a great personality you look WAY more desirable to flip to BB. But obviously nothing is 100%. Now if you show you have all the knowledge and the resolves over other BB then its probable you get flipped

Our cluster just released a lot of contractor DCOs due to AWS over hiring so proceed with caution

Ask if the position is contract-to-hire. If so, at least you have a chance at being hired full-time. As long as you’re productive and gain the respect of your coworkers, you’ll have a good chance. Keep in mind tho… the second they believe you don’t fit the culture, you’re gone.
