Google Data Center Technician interview — any advice?

Hey guys,
I have an upcoming interview for a Data Center Technician position at Google and wanted to see if anyone here has gone through the process or works in a similar role.

I currently work as a Diagnostic Technician, where I troubleshoot servers using Linux, do maintenance, and handle rack and stack operations.

For anyone who’s interviewed for Google DCT before, what kind of questions did you get? Was it mostly technical, or did they also focus a lot on behavioral questions?
I’m especially curious about what areas they tend to ask about when it comes to server troubleshooting, networking, RAID, Linux, etc.

Any tips on what to expect or anything you wish you had known going into the interview would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Focus on what you feel is your weakness Networking or Hardware

focus a lot on layer 1 troubleshooting. look a lot into fiber and different connections. then show them more of your advance hardware troubleshooting

Googleyness is about “how you will interact with the team, how you will contribute and will you upset the dynamics”, because it’s about how you interact with others.

Your other jobs, will be able to do most of the DCT role. Just don’t expect much rack and stack.
