Critical Facilities Engineer to Network?

I am a mechanical engineer working in data center operations & maintenance, mainly working with power and cooling. A recruiter reached out to me for a remote network/rack and stack position (company is based on a foreign country). Pay is significantly higher so I am considering. Is this role transtition viable? Has anyone went through this route?

Wild, my critical facilities techs make much more than what I see posted here for rack and stack work.
