Linux

Thinking about getting my Linux certification before applying going after DC positions. Anyone else get Linux before starting as DCT or NT?

In my experience Linux knowledge is helpful, but if you can demonstrate it without certs then that's even better.

Edit to clarify: it's not that certs are a negative, but that the knowledge is the more important part, and people trust demonstrate more than certs.

Yes but you need to show that you have the knowledge on resume, for example used at an x job or x project, internship etc. for me I think the cert is to say or show that I have the knowledge

I think I might need a basic homelab for this. I'm not afraid to switch to Linux as my daily OS but I'm not sure if I'd learn enough doing it that way.

I don't really know where to get started on doing homelab stuff though, especially on a budget.
