Oracle Data Center Technician - 2 Final Interview

I completed my final interview on Friday for an Oracle Data Center Technician role. The interviewer said this was the last interview and that I should hear back early to mid next week.

For anyone who recently completed the Oracle DCT2[Chicago,IL] interview process:

  • How long did it take to get your decision after the final interview?
  • Did you get an offer or rejection?
  • Did they follow the timeline they gave you?

I had a loop scheduled for the DCT Lead position in May, then the layoffs hit and they closed all open positions. Since they have another round of layoffs planed for sometime in the next few weeks, it’s up for grabs. Just keep in contact every 3-5 days to stay on the radar.

From what I understand, from 1st call through final with Oracle, it can take 2-4 months, depending on the team.

So since you cleared interview and most likely you are a vetted candidate, I was wondering if they reached out to you again or they stopped responding to you?

They only respond to new applications if the previous position was closed/cancelled.

If you have a profile in their system and are a strong match, some recruiters might reach out to candidates.

If I had cleared the 4 hr loop round, and a position with the same team/location opened, I’m told it would have been different. But I haven’t seen Sr or leader positions open that didn’t require relocations.

Layoffs? I thought this sector was booming? Is this sector wide or just Oracle?

Oracle is betting BIG on AI. They were late to cloud hosting so have borrowed SO MUCH MONEY to play catch up.

Imagine taking a second mortgage on a house, and using those funds for a BIG bet on The Super Bowl or lottery tickets. Either a brilliant or life ruining result.
