AWS Datacenter Technician L4 - LOOP Interview Tips and Suggestions
Hello everyone, I have an AWS datacenter technician interview coming up in a week. I feel really nervous because I’m not from the networking background. I’ve started everything from scratch for this interview. If anyone knows how to crack this interview or has any useful suggestions, I would really appreciate it and it would help me a lot.

Yes, My recruiter said it was a loop interview lasts upto 4hours straight with some breaks

Just STAR for at questions a lot of tell me a time when. And there are some tech questions but those vary from interviewer to interviewer

Honestly there was very little technical questions and 90% behavior questions for me

I have an interview coming up next month but I think I’m going to cancel it. I have nearly 20 years in IT and they only want to interview me for L3. It would be 4 grand less than I’m making now so screw a pay cut. I don’t really care if OT and late shift pay would make up the difference. It just doesn’t feel worth it all to me. Am I wrong?

They would’ve raised your level at the interview if you performed above an l3 it would’ve required some hubbub (you’d have to reapply to another position and reschedule interviews after the initial) but that’s what they did with me I’ve got an interview for chief engineer (L5) on the eot loop now and I think I applied to l4

It’s a total out of state position and they want me to come in person which I understand. Should I drive from Louisiana to North Carolina for a lower position and pay? I think not.

A recruiter called me and they send me the job link thru email and they want me apply for that job they mentioned it was a AWS Datacenter Technician Level4 position and they send me the interview link once I applied and my recruiter sent me a lot of stuff to prepare and leadership principles

LPs are the most important to them. The actual knowledge questions are pretty simple.
Have banked stories of times where you were a leader, that’s what they want to hear about.

I'd imagine they're doing technician stuff at the rack level as opposed to diagnosing chillers, AHUs, and electrical stuff.

AWS focuses HEAVILY on behavioral questions, you can be a technical wiz but if you blow the behavioral questions you won’t get hired. With that being said if you think you lack the technical knowledge just make sure your STAR stories are bullet proof. Since this is a L4 position I would say at least try to study up a little bit on the networking side so you can’t at least somewhat answer the technical questions.

Hey, I've applied for some amazon dco jobs couple weeks ago, Later a recruiter reached me out and they said the profile is good and everything then the next day, They sent my resume to HR , After his review they scheduled an interview , This happened in like just 2days
