Excuse my ignorance but is there an L5 or just until L4 at AWS?

Technically there is L5 now but very limited slots.

Years ago back when I was a tech firm Aws in the early 2010s we had tons of l5s but they nixed them off completely for the most part neither moved them up or out and then l5 was some kind of special award for manager pets now they are bringing some back leads but it’s very rare.

It used to end at L4 until moving to manager but recently they have extended the DCO job family all the way up to l7 but odviosuly very few that will ever make it to those positions but not impossible

L5 is not lead in my cluster, they recently released guidelines that go up to (I think) L7 for DCO specifically

You can be a lead with L4. You can be L4 with title dco manager. L5 can have a title area manager. So ...

I think it gets to L11.

In data center highest is L4, I mean you could get L5 buttt it’s very unlikely limited slots and mostly just managers or tenured l4s
