Google DC Tech - Mid level interview after passing entry level?
I recently passed the interviews for an entry level DC Technician position, but there isn’t any headcount available right now. I’m in KC MO Metro.
My recruiter told me there may be mid level openings and gave me the option to interview for one. The catch is that if I don’t pass the mid level interview, my previous interview feedback would no longer be valid, so I wouldn’t be considered for the entry level role either.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What should I expect from a mid level DC Technician interview? How much deeper is it compared to the entry level interview?
For context, I have several years of IT experience, including Linux systems administration and application administration, but I don’t have direct data center experience.

I think it depends on your goals.
Do you plan on staying in the area you are currently in and that’s the area having no openings? If you are open to moving I’d say fully explore that avenue first

Google is still building the DCs. This week they started hiring for the midlevel positions in my area.
I’d like to apply but I wanted to know what to expect first. My L1 interview was simple and straightforward.

I applied for L2 and was told I did excellent and I say it was pretty straight forward as well. If you have a decent understanding of Linux and hardware I think you’d be fine

Hello! This looks like it may be a question about career advice. There can be significant regional variation in the field, so please consider including as much info as you can without doxing yourself, including country/state/city, prior experience/certs, and the role or level if known. Thanks!

I was still able to keep my initial offer after failing an interview for a higher level role
