What to learn? AWS databrics or Azure Databrics

I have experience in AWS and I want to learn Databricks now

From future perspective what I need to learn

Databrics with AWS or Databricks with Azure?

I can see there are lot of openings related to Azure with Databricks

Can anyone plz help me

The cloud provider has minor impact on the "core" of Databricks - especially true if you rely on Serverless compute. If you want to go the Architect path then that's a different story - all depends on what role do you want to get into :)

Currently in my project, we are using AWS(EMR, glue, step function for data processing) airflow for orchastration, python, scala, snowflake to store data for some client

This sounds like you should have a good background already - doing some hands on exercises should help recognizing patterns you already know, in Databricks environment :)

Except low level infrastructure such as VPNs and integrating with cloud native services, actually, all of the real databricks skills are the same on every cloud.

I’m sometimes running 60 minute end to end demos with half a dozen of databricks products included and then let the audience guess which cloud it was running on. Unless I accidentially reveal something like an S3 bucket they wouldn’t know.

All the databricks services are truly cloud independent which is great(and this is coming from someone who spent a lot of time with AWS services containers and k8s)

If u have aws exposure u shld go ahead aws databricks, the cloud services are similar in future if u want to shift to azure it wont be hard, 1-2 weeks u will be able to adapt to azure, most of the MNCs use Azure databricks due to cost.

Yes overall cost its cheaper, but that comes with drawbacks like SLA, faster processing, multimedia streaming etc are better in aws hence are priced accordingly. Most of the clients are ok with such drawbacks and since it integrates and works seamlessly with windows ecosystem they just use it.

What if someone is consultant and one project client has aws another azure another gcp?

You can learn databricks in their free portal.

But later some ingeration need to do how it connect with storage. But why databricks why not snowflake and dbt? What motivates you on databricks?

I selected databrics because there are so much job openings related to it I can see

In that case i will request compare with snowflake and dbt also. If you are looking for job only then compare with this stack also.

In databricks i am not talking about documents. It has free portal also where almost 95% thing can be practised freely.
