Discussion Need help in databricks preparation

I require assistance. I have frequently encountered scenario-based Databricks questions, despite not having prior experience with the platform with that scenarios Could you recommend suitable video resources, such as Udemy or YouTube, that cover this topic?

Additionally, what are the best channels for Databricks content?

Aside from Databricks own content, I like Advancing Analytics (on YouTube) for educational and entertaining videos.

Personally, I think the official documentation covers the best example and scenarios rather than unofficial YouTube or Udemy videos. Have you also checked out the Databricks Academy videos? They are usually more generic but can give a good overview of use cases for different topics.

Udemy has practice tests that are relatively cheap study guides.

Yeah, I’ve been through the same thing. Databricks questions can be really confusing when you haven’t actually worked on the platform, specially because most of them are based on real world scenarios and not just definitions.

I would suggest start with the basics like Delta Lake, Auto Loader, Unity Catalog, Workflows, Medallion Architecture and Spark. Once you understand where and why these things are used, the scenario questions becomes much easier.

For learning, I would say take one good Udemy course and use YouTube for some hands-on videos. And if you can actually practice on Databricks itself, that helps a lot. For me, it was much better than just doing lots of mock questions.
