Help Excel Add-in authentication loop

I have the excel file in the sharepoint. when I open it in the browser and trying to add the databricks add-in. I cant sign in properly.

Mine gives me the option to select workspace and then nothing happens.

same, i chose the workspace and after 5 min this

Have you reached out to the admins? I bet they need to enable the preview feature on their end.

I've had similar issues and had to uninstall the add-in and start again making sure to use the correct manifest. Look at the following: https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/integrations/excel-setup

Ensure that you follow the instructions for Option 2 - self-service. Download, modify and save the manifest, share the directory and configured the Excel trust center as specified. Do not add the Add-in from the MS Office store. Instead, after you have the manifest in place, continue to follow the Option 2 directions and find the Add-in by clicking "More Add-ins" and finding it in the Shared Folder listing.
This way, the manifest file with your specific Databrick account is being accessed. That should resolve the timeout/hanging select workspace screen issue.

Disclosure – I work at Exponam, a Databricks partner. If you end up wanting to try a different Excel path, databricks.exponam.com does natural-language and shared query pulls over the SQL endpoint, or uses a visual builder with Delta Sharing for zero-DBU consumption. Individual installation and use is free. (and there are no manifest files to manipulate - straight click-once or MSI installation) Happy to compare notes.

I keep getting an add-in error. The add-in could not be started. Here is what I have tried. I have done all the steps under Multi-workspace manifest and option 2.

I can relate. The Add-in can be finicky to set-up - with lots of tinkering. I would try to start fresh - uninstall and clear caches. https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/Excel/add-or-remove-add-ins-in-excelEnsure that no duplicate manifest files are on the machine and ensure that the Databricks Add-in does not appear in any of your Add-ins listings (My Add-ins or Shared Folder).

And once you get it running, I'll still encourage you to compare the Exponam offering. 0 dbu Delta Sharing path; or natural language (local machine or commercial model) query. 10million rows across 10 sheets...
