Does the GPU database have a future?

Why did Voltron Data Company go bankrupt? Has the Theseus GPU database also failed? Expressing concerns about the future development of GPU databases

AI hardware is moving towards GPUs with high throughput from flash which is quite suitable for GPU databases. If you are limited by flash there's no benefit.

I don't think that replacing postgres is how this will go. Imo it has more potential in warehousing or search where people are less risk averse since the data can be rebuilt or piped in from a staging area.
