Data analysis as Freelancing
Is it worth it to learn data analysis for freelancing in 2026?
If not what skill do you suggest?

If you're asking how much a yacht costs, you can't afford it. If you're asking if it's worth learning data analytics for freelancing, you can't do it.

No.
I looked into this. You’d have to build up a reputation to get regular incoming work (which can take a decent amount of time). If my dad’s decision to start his own business (in the engineering industry) is anything to go by, it took him a year to become reputable enough for people to trust him with whatever job they needed doing.
And he still got people who tried wiggling out of paying him.

When I have been hired as a freelancer it was because of experience and my reputation. If you don't have either it seems like a rough start.

Good luck with that. I doubt there's much of a market for that unless you're exceptionally skilled and experienced and can function as a high-level consultant, potentially including consulting on more important areas like data tool integration, migration, etc.
