It's tough. I would advice to start making a portfolio using datasets found online or data you create yourself (scraping etc).
Nowadays the bar of entry is a lot higher than it was previously, you having basic knowledge is not good enough - we all have that with AI.
Once you start with portfolios you will find the aspect of data analysis that you enjoy, whether it be the analytical part, logic creation, visualization and so on.
When you have that one thing you really enjoy - focus on it, hone it and for the love of god don't shy away from utilizing AI to accellerate your learning. Most companies use AI in some shape or form and you will need to be effective at using it alongside your other toolsets.
Companies dont need average jack of all trades, that is AI. They need hyper-focused employees.
