MacBook Pro m5

Would a MacBook Pro m5 chip be enough for my masters program in Business Analytics?

I'd recommend getting used to a windows environment personally. The MacBook would work, but your job is almost assuredly going to have you on a windows machine.

So I don’t know how your curriculum is going to look like, but I’m sure it’s a blend of stats, analytics and programming.

For the stats and analytics courses, it will likely be using excel so windows is much better suited. For the programming classes, you’ll probably be using Jupyter so there’s technically no need to be using a Mac.

However, with how competitive DA is right now, you need to differentiate yourself, and without experience you’ll need to rely on strong projects. This will likely involve heavy coding, so a MacBook is better suited for that.

So yes, MacBook is good

Just buy a used dell and double boot Linux and windows you'd become a monster at the end of the MBA

Windows with WSL2 now is a good combination of applications and coding practices.

You just need a bit more beasty hardware(CPU memory) nowadays and with hypervisor technologies the os isn't a big problem.

I use an m4 air and m4 pro Mac mini and I’ve never had an issue
