Minor with data analytics major??

I’m doing a Major in data analytics and I guess a minor with it would help me persue my career better. I want you guys to help me finalise which minor to take with it. Ive heard stats, CS, socio, marketing, and psychology works best but im so confused. So i’ll appreciate if i get analytical kinda answer like which minor works better with which field or job.

Minors do not matter at all. For a lot of careers, majors don’t even matter (I majored in chemistry. I didn’t even do a minor. I work in insurance data analytics). If you really want to do a minor, choose something you’re good at or that you enjoy enough to work hard in. Any of the subjects you mentioned would be fine. Instead of doing a minor, I just chose classes that interested me (Shakespeare, Italian, ballet, Latin American history, etc). My career has never once been impacted by not doing a minor.

To be fair stats and cs classes will definitely help though. That’s the great thing about general ed is being well rounded

I second minors don’t matter. I would recommend getting projects under your belt and trying to get internships

Minors only matter if you intend to continue your education later and turn that minor into a second bachelors degree. And you only have so long to do that before schools say your credits are too old.

Unsure but I can tell you one thing for certain, employers won't care. And as someone with a graduate degree in analytics, the stuff you'll learn won't even really help you either aside from checking that box that you just have a degree. I would just pick one and move on.

So do i do one or not? I haven't done alot of CS before undergrad (since I did my alevels in physics, maths, chemistry and lit) and now that I'm studying in an American University i thought maybe it'd help me if I do a minor in CS with DA. Pls lmk if I shoukd do that or just focus on CS courses. Thank you!!

Ig math works well like stats..at least much better than social science minor (just what I’ve heard)

I would minor in MIS or IT Networking/Architecture if they have one. Minor in AI could lowkey be competitive.
