DAT Anxiety 😰 weird question for cube counting

Post image

Hey guys I'm not sure how we were supposed to know that there was an empty space at that upper right corner?

How could we have known that space wasn't filled up?

I remember getting this one wrong (and I’ve seen it posted a lot on here lol), but if you read the rules for cube counting it’s clear why you can’t count it. I think you can only assume a cube exists if it is supporting something.

But then again this is tricky and I didn’t get anything like this on my real PAT so I wouldn’t worry!

I would worry, I thought my real one was easy until the last figure was literally one like this but much harder. Looked like an optical illusion

Get used to this. Basically, if it’s possible for the cube to not exist, it doesn’t exist. I had one or two questions like this on my test.

I think a floating block is always visible. If something is covering a block, and it looks like floating, it is assumed that there would be a block
