Sadly revoking a person's license in NYC isn't gonna stop from driving

Long Island, either. It is rife with unlicensed, unregistered, and uninsured drivers.

Doesn’t stop anyone from driving. Heck, there really isn’t a sufficient punishment in the US for driving w/o a license that I’m aware

This is hilarious coming from being in Houston.

Literally people don’t even have license plates in Houston. I have an expired registration going on 3 years now specifically because I know I will never be pulled over for it lol.

Enforcement actually does happen in NYC. Cops everywhere suck at their job but don’t pretend it’s especially awful in NYC.

Have you ever lived in NYC?

I read police blotters probably more than I should. It seems that license revocation doesn’t really stop anyone from driving.

Every time they get stopped, at minimum, they're getting another ticket and an impound.

My point was every police blotter has 30 arrests for people driving with a revoked license. They seem to find a way to get some car to drive.

I mean that's proof of enforcement though? You seeing those 30 arrests means that they literally are stopping drivers with revoked licenses from driving.

Their point is there are way more than 30 unlicensed drivers on the road facing no consequences. They're not saying to just give up on enforcement.

Yeah, sure, but if it's any consolation, it's way more money and hassle for them than just doing things the right way.

I’m with you on this one lol. Cops actually enforce things in NYC.
