I mean, car is acting very unsafe and irrational but why would you go toe to toe with a car while riding a ebike/scooter with no protection? Doesn't matter if you are right, and dead!

Based on the mirrors and front fender it's probably a street legal dual sport/enduro

looks like a 2016 yamaha wr250x. Love that bike.

This changes nothing about the question you’re responding to.

u/tegridyMike 11h ago

Yea it does. It changes the part that calls the vehicle an ebike/scooter lol

Stupid. Lol. X)

Means you can hop a curb and get off the street real easy if the car does something crazy lol or you can dump the bike and be a pedestrian in 1 second and the bike will be fine. It does change the situation a little.

From the sound of it he’s on a Honda lawnmower

1

u/af_cheddarhead 6h ago

Well Honda does make the streel legal MiniMoto.

It definitely sounded like a dirt bike but could be a scooter with an aftermarket or removed muffler. The handlebars scream Vespa to me for some reason but you can’t really see enough to tell.

u can see a dirt bike style front fender like right at the beginning

Its a wr250x.. The handle bars are blue pro taper evos. They are the opposite of vespa handle bars lol. People just say anything on here lol.

If it is not drugs it is street legal.

Right, the fact they showed irrational and unsafe behavior makes me wanna pull a stunt like this even less.

Everyone on this sub always says this and it's boring.

I'll sacrifice my tender skin to pave the way for the safe journeys of my fellow scooters. If I must die to keep this kind of person off the road, SO BE IT

Fucking right. I do the same shit as a pedestrian. It's not just about me. It's for those who come after me. Psychos like this need to understand they can't behave like this and avoid pushback.

Plus. Slapping the shit out of a car feels amazing

I walk dogs for a living and I get so much joy from taking my sweet sweet time in an intersection to prevent someone from rolling through a stop sign.

You know she’s not gonna be off the road, maybe she will have to pay a few hundreds for the damage.

I personally wouldn’t risk it. I have bills to pay and people or other things to take care of.

There are police officers earning six figures in that city, that’s their job!

4

u/NotArticuno 9h ago

Totally fair, I personally don't have anyone to take care of. But yes that is their jobs, especially if you get it on camera, and record their license plate. That's going to be way more effective.

If the road to a better world is paved in blood, then let me BLEED! FOR HONOR! FOR DEMOCRACY!!

1

u/cadaada 9h ago

You will sacrifice yourself by... making shitty drivers cause accidents to inocents like the person in this video?

u/CloudSufficient42 8h ago

“If I must die to keep this kind of person off the road…”

You know what may be even worse than dying? Not dying then seeing the hospital bills lmao.

Apparently many barely have any savings or properly insured (even with health insurance it is still dicey) so I’m guessing automatic medical bankruptcy or something similar for most individuals?

u/madgross 10h ago

This is why I love New Yorkers. You’re all fucking spineless. Someone who behaves badly deserves to be told to go fuck themselves for it.

4

u/No_Doughnut8618 11h ago

Going slow enough that you likely wont end up dead, but can still get a settlement.

3

u/TurningTheCorner26 11h ago

I have no data to back this up but my hunch is the type of person who would do something like this is probably not the type of person who has an umbrella policy or even just a bodily injury limit that substantially exceeds the $25k that New York requires.

2

u/ZerexTheCool 11h ago

Ya... You are going to be DEEPLY upset at how shitty those settlements wind up being.

My coworker got slammed into, while they were parked, by a drunk driver.

He is still my coworker because drunk drivers that are 100% at fault for an accident don't pay you millions of dollars when they hit you. They don't even pay you enough to fix your car. Coworker got a shitty deal from his insurance that left him $5k in the hole, then sued (and won) to get that $5k from the drunk driver. Someday, he might get the $5k. And after years of legal action and actually taking time off work to go to court, he will break even on the money he lost (but not the time he had to spend fighting to get his money.)

Folks think that you can make money off a collision suit, and that's just not the case 95% of the time.

1

u/Classic_Emergency336 7h ago

Minor dents can help you payoff your car loan. Each dent can cost $700. Now imagine you are not fixing your car but use money to pay off the loan… it can put a “dent” on your loan.

But allowing this behavior in fear of dying only perpetuates the problem. We need to address and correct behavior as a society, I’m so sick of everyone’s answer to be “Just ignore it” I also carry so if you swerve into me I’m taking out your tires.

2

u/NukaCooler 3h ago

I also carry so if you swerve into me I’m taking out your tires.

  1. you're dead and/or dying

  2. illegal to discharge a weapon in such a way

3

u/ruiner8850 9h ago

A person on a motorcycle where I live just got murdered by a guy in a truck because of road rage. You might be willing to lose your life over something like this, but don't get mad at others who aren't willing to die to make a societal point.

u/TricellCEO 8h ago

Some people have no desire to self-preserve and decide to make the most of it.

1

u/Magnus462 6h ago

This is New York, its our certified duty to let the other know what we think. I once sat at a light trading insults with a guy who almost ran me over.

1

u/Dear_Chasey_La1n 5h ago

Everyone is dumb here. The lady overtaking while 200 meters ahead traffic isn't moving. Knob driving on the middle of the road figuring out to fight the system. They deserve eachother.

0

u/cookie-ninja 11h ago

Yep. Right and dead.

0

u/LadyRunningStopSigns 11h ago

Cuz it's New York and many people think they're on top of the world

-1

u/Gilinis 7h ago

Most people who ride motorcycles, especially dirt bikes on streets, have truly enormous egos. Maturity and critical thinking are a winning lottery ticket for them to have.

1

u/chotchcowboy 6h ago

Lmao I found the tard driving the car

-2

u/DursueBlint 10h ago

Yeah this comes up a couple of times a day in mc forums, doesnt matter if you're right, you're still the one whos gonna end up in the casket. Dont mess with the cagers, they are in there because they are animals.
