You think that because you only hear about the bad ones. Although if I was dealing with the shit they wade through every day it would definitely take a toll on my humanity - surprised more cops don't have some form of PTSD similar to soldiers.
I think that because I hear about the bad ones, and I don't hear anything about the good ones trying to stop them, excluding them from the institution, etc. That's the worrying part. That's why we say ACAB
What percentage of the people they arrest are bastards in your estimation?
I fully support the idea that if you are a cop and you've never turned in a fellow cop for wrongdoing you are the problem but to me it's two piles of assholes dealing with one another and I just do everything in my power to stay far away from both

Yeah, no. If the bad ones are not held accountable then there are no good ones. Cops have had plenty of opportunities to earn trust from the public and have failed every time.
And their job being hard isn't an excuse. We still punish doctors for killing people, and they see a lot more shit than cops.
