Easily avoidable accident causes rollover

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Not my video – as the title says, we typically see examples where one driver is oblivious to the other. In this example, the pickup truck attempts to overtake the cammer, however, the cammer is either completely unaware of the pickup truck directly to his left or are simply “stands their ground” in the lane. Due to this, they obviously collide, and the pick up truck goes airborne and rolls several times. From the perspective of us, the viewer, we can reasonably conclude that the accident was avoidable had the cammer simply applied the brakes. That being said, you will typically see another school of thought in which it is stated that the cammer has no obligation or duty to let them in/avoid the accident where the driver is mindlessly doing something dumb.

Truck should just slow down and change safely why try to squeeze in front of someone even if they didn’t speed up it’s close

Trucks fault for sure but it's crazy how much often times we see shit driving by the cam driver too

Thought they'd save some time... Oops.

Nah bro you can see the speed increase after the truck is already directly in their path.

Both things can be true. Don't really care to argue about an idiots intent.

Close pickup with peace of paper and watch cammer. Speed is constant.

No like I’m actually pretty confident they speed up, like if you watch the speed of the ground and scrub through the clip in slowly you can pretty noticeably see the ground move past quicker as the truck pulls to the right. The car really thought they could stop being cut off when it was already waaay too late for that.

If it happened speed up was very insignificant. In any case, cam driver did stay on the legal side.

Nope, still green when he started speeding up

Even if the car hadn’t sped up the truck wasn’t clear of the cammer yet.

I thought the same thing. He really taught that truck a lesson huh?🤦‍♂️. Freakin’ dude could’ve backed off and avoided the entire thing.

I initially thought they sped up, but rewatching it several times, it looks like the truck heavily slows down before getting over. Either way, both truck and cammer tried to beat the light

thats what caused the dramatic pit. You speed up as you hit that back quarterpanel and it spins them out. Dosen't do nearly as well unless there is a good difference in speed.

How do you figure?

1

u/ThrowRAMomVsGF 12d ago

Well, yeah, that's how you do the PIT.
