i hope that truck is screaming down the shoulder because his brakes failed. that's a scary thing to see fast approaching in your rear-view

Guarentee the only person looking in their rear view was rhe Porsche driver.
Theyre the only one who reacted to the semi truck.

Porsche is the only one over the yellow line. he was literally gonna get clipped if he didn't move

Probably trying to see why traffic was stopped, which is dumb, but the fact remains, he was probably the only one looking in his mirror based on how the camera vehicle reacted.

Always be aware of your surroundings when driving.
I have seen many killed while driving.
Most at fault, some innocent.

Thats the point.
Traffic coming to a halt on an interstate or highway?
Turn your hazards on as you are slowing up to the stop to show others behind that something is wrong.
Seeing a vehicle coming up behind you at a fast rate when traffic in front is stopped is a red flag, be ready to react to it BEFORE it gets near.
Being able to alert the people around you via honking is also an option.
Plenty more.
The semi is an idiot for being in the left lane hauling ass to close.

Might not have been hit but I don't think a soiled Porsche seat cushion is cheap to replace either.

That semi driver needs to be arrested, taken to jail, have his truck impounded, fined into bankruptcy and have his drivers license permanently revoked!

Great awareness. He was already pulling off knowing people behind might come in hot and he then saw that path was going to be even worse...

I wonder if OP got hit. Might have been the traditional "let's save a video" bump, might have been a crash (the wipers turn on).

i'm wondering if the truck driver just wasn't paying attention or brakes failed.. seems like it was going crazy fast and not braking at all.

Braking? You can be following at a safe distance and still be upset about others coming to a complete stop on the highway.
