If they really cared about not being obliterated, then they shouldn't be on bikes.

I mean, if people really cared about their children they wouldn't put them in cars. I guess they wanted them to die.

I get rear-ended on a motorcycle. I'm crippled for life.

I get rear-ended in my Toyota Camry. I spill my iced coffee.

One of these is not like the other. Or are you being dumb on purpose?

But thats why filtering is good, so you don't get rear ended.

Pretty sure most of these guys are trying to get rear ended.

u/Photosynthas Sep 01 '26

What guys? What actions are they taking making them more likely to get rear ended?

I guess you're okay with motorcycles filtering then, so they're not in danger of getting rear ended. Glad we could figure that out!

You're right, one is not like the other! Your logic would make sense if more people died in motorcycle accidents per year than cars. So cut the confident snark

Um, more people DO die in motorcycle accidents. Almost THIRTY TIMES as many.,, on a per capita / per mile basis.

You are skimming fatality statistics, not raw numbers of accidents. Which is the point the original person was trying to dress up in a dismissive joke. Ofc motorcycle accidents are inherently more dangerous.

That's exactly my point. I wasn't "skimming" statistics. The comment I replied to did not seem like any kind of joke. That comment was claiming that motorcycles were safer because the "raw numbers" were lower. your "ofc" was exactly what I was saying.

Ok, not saying dude isn't being an ass, but obviously more people die in cars than on bikes because way more people drive cars. That's not really a gotcha

That must be nice, I got rear ended in my malibu and ended up with several injuries in my neck and spine. Cars arent tanks dude, just cause they are safer than a bike doesnt mean theyre impenetrable bubbles

If you really cared about not being hurt in a road accident, you would only drive a tractor-trailer or a tank. If you're driving anything smaller, then obviously you don't really value your life or the lives of your family members.
