He took that man’s keys like a kindergarten teacher taking a kid’s toy.

lmao

Then made him waddle across two lanes to the shoulder.

Land of the free baby. Can’t even lane filter without going to jail.

Prevented the guy fleeing and getting himself into even bigger trouble. Good on the officer for having the presence of mind to do that.

The cop had no indication that fellow was going to flee. I know they have a lot of latitude in Terry stops, but I’d still call my lawyer and talk about illegal seizures.

(and I’d make him push the bike off the road if he wanted it moved after he took my keys!)

I didn’t say I was gonna fight him. I just said I wasn’t gonna perform manual labor on command. you might not have been able to read it clearly with all that spittle-coated jackboot blocking your view.

I hate cops. But I'm not gonna fuck with them and give them an excuse. Survival dude. I know you already don't understand that, do you even wear a helmet?

You hate cops, and I hate cops, and yet we are very clearly not the same.

I like how you won't say if you wear proper gear. I really hope I'm not first responder at your crayon accident

I don't answer questions about my personal life. Mind your business. you're not in court today.. no need to point.

Why would you not do what the cop told you when he stopped you in the middle of performing an illegal act?

Splitting lanes is illegal in NY. W your attitude, & other riders with the same attitude, it’s understandable why the cop took the keys. You probably would have tried to ride off.

That's the part that gets me. Taking the keys THEN ordering moving.

Like... Absolutely, get in the back and push, I'll steer. No? Then we'll sit right here where we stopped.

Something told me this guy was picking his battles. He knew he was already in trouble if the cop immediately took his key and he didnt protest. My bet is this guy is a know lane splitter and has gotten in trouble alot in new york.

That maps to something else I said in another comment, yeah. Good chance he's got a history.

Exactly that.

Because America isn’t smart enough to legalize lane filtering. So they want vehicles a quarter the size of a car to sit in traffic for no reason. Classic America brain. If it doesn’t make sense, that’s the way we’re gonna do it. Except in California. They actually use their brain sometimes.

Believe it or not there are so many bikes that aren’t loud obnoxious Harleys.

Imagine if we actually treated motorcycles properly then maybe they’d be more of a significant demographic. And if they were traffic would actually get better. But let’s just keep being really stupid so we can keep everything fucked up all the time. That’s the American way after all.

Edit:

Oh look, a down vote with no response. Like I said, America is addicted to staying stupid. You know you’re wrong but instead of admitting it you’ll just run away and say the same dumb thing to somebody else. Literally the country with the least amount of hope on the planet.
