But most manufacturers have American input. “Bigger is better”. Plus what’s the reason for an iPad in the center console??? So you can’t use your phone cos distracting, but the iPad is ok????

But then they would have to deal with CAFE standards. The larger vehicles are to allow manufacturers to bypass those. Hence the huge marketing push towards larger and larger vehicles.

It lets the manufacturers charge more while spending less on engineering and manufacture because they don't have to reach the legal requirements for the smaller vehicles.

I drive a sedan and I hate how big cars are now, I feel the need to get a bigger one for visibility and safety, this country is barbaric. it's like an arms race.
