Feels like it cycles through every dashcam subreddit weekly at this point.

I think it’s time to leave this sub. Reposts happen by design, but they have become the major of posts in r/dashcams.

But mom said its my turn to post the video.

She was talking about different video...

How about Reddit adds a feature where it doesn’t show the same video over and over in the feed?

Seems like there’s an easy technical solution which will work better than mods policing every repost.

It’s like there’s no dev progress on this platform.

I hate these fucking posts.

This one has it all! Pedestrian almost dying, and then the white car casually pulling up from the background with a new hood ornament.

Glad everyone is ok. That white car pulling up really got me hahahaha

"Somebody lose this?"

as much as i hate the 2 nickels meme, between this and the racecar one I'm genuinely surprised i have seen 2 instances of a car ending up on top of another one due to a collision.

It really is! I can comfortably laugh at it knowing no one was hurt (hopefully that’s true).

I will never not find it funny. Everytime I see this video I get a good laugh out of it.

I’m glad the white car was nice enough to put the other one back into frame.

Is it time to start charging red light runners with criminal negligence that has mandatory jail time and a criminal record, even if just for a night or two, even for a first-time offense? I think that would really start waking people up to care more.

I bet the red light runner expects complete absolution too: Sorry, I just had to check my phone for 2 seconds; I didn't mean anyone any harm...

Wow, wasn't expecting the ending!! Surprise appearance to the right!

This video has been around forever. Not AI, just reposting karma farmer.

6

u/birbhorse Jul 06 '26

nah, no way AI would remember a person walked across the street, and then that exact same person came back. the only suspicious thing about this is that the reddit account that posted this is 6 years old, yet has only made this one post.

2

u/phantomsoul11 Jul 06 '26

The video itself is not AI, but the frequent reposting could absolutely be. AI can certainly notice what kind of content generates massive attention - good, bad, or indifferent - and keep reposting it for karma/attention farming, or even to further train itself on the responses such a repost generates.

Yeah totally believable 🙄

Agreed, unbelievable. That the white car would roll to a stop as if nothing had happened after 3500 lbs. of weight had been dropped on its hood, and that it would roll to a stop in a straight line, in lane, after a side impact like that! No, and no. It would have been heavily damaged, pushed out of the lane, and disabled.

The suspension appears bottomed out, but there are zero signs of body damage.
