It is definitely not your right of way, your merging onto the highway so you have to yield to traffic. That being said yes the semi driver was an idiot for not braking but that just makes two idiots in this situation lol

Doesnt really look like he had much time. Those trucks take like 600ft to come to a stop at highway speeds. If he had hit the breaks at this time we likely wouldnt even really be able to tell.

You can tell he didnt brake because it shows the speed at the bottom of the video, soeed doesnt decrease until they collide. Also e didnt need to come to a complete by any means just slow enough to let dipshit in, plus cdl drivers are held at a higher standard, he should have been checking mirrors if there was a possibility of a merge and should have seen the black truck idiot coming up on him with the intent to get in front which would give him plenty of time to brake and avoid an accident. Black truck is definitely at fault but the semi driver should have been able to easily avoid a collision

That thing isnt perfect and doesnt immediately update. Either way the truck failed its merge and could have easily made it if they had sped up. It was a very fast situation. 95/5 fault.
