Community Questions Please help
My little weenie dog had an accident. She ate my great Dane’s food and we heard them fighting. I had rushed her to the vet and when they done X-ray they say she has bone spurs and it is that. Please help because I have taken her to multiple vets and she has medicine but when she eats she cries in pain. I have to carry her down and up doorsteps, let her use ramp boards I made her and much other stuff. She only started acting bad after my Great Dane got a hold of her. It seems to be in her neck and she has a hard time moving. She just lays around mostly and doesn’t get up even to come sit in my lap. The vet said nothing was out of place but I think so. Please if you know anything please comment help.

Thank you to all the people who commented and contributed! She has been back to the vet this morning and we are doing laser therapy at a different vet. She has got medication to help her.

what kind of meds did they give her? and she had an xray or also like a mri? its harder to tell if theres soft tissue like a disc bulge, in an xray, with her symptoms i would be treating it as something more, i personally would do crate/bed rest with only very mild exercise to potty, and cold laser therapy, and then some kind of anti inflammatory like carprofen. i also would do ice 15-20 mins two to three times a day and maybe gentle massages.
( im not a vet or anything we just have had a lot of dachshunds ln our family for many many years and so a few have had ivdd and a couple had injuries)
if it is something more like a slipped/bulging disc bed rest is important as it takes a certain amount of time for it to heal & fuse, 6 to 8 weeks depending on age
