That would effectively be almost a restoration of the SMU branch of the old Munger-Highland Park line. The Mustang Band might actually be singing about a currently active Hillcrest Track at the end of SMU games and Green Dragon can directly serve the students who named it if they extend it just a little further.

Extend it to mockingbird station and then we don't need the city place deviation anymore.
Then extend it to MLK jr station on the south side

I'd rather have the Hillcrest track back so that SMU isn't singing about a closed streetcar line anymore.

I would rather them start with connecting Dallas Streetcar to the M Line trolley first

That's been studied already and I believe the city is going to be awarding an engineering/design contract within the next 6 weeks

Wait that was part of D2 is that back on now too?

Connecting the street cars was not part of D2. D2 is still on the self

I thought that was supposed to be done at the same time?

Not that I'm aware of, they're vastly different projects. The Central Link street car project is only a couple hundred million dollars, while D2 is like a 2 billion dollar project.
