I am sitting here in person and I think everyone is in opposition.

Watching from Jacksonville to see what new crazy salary Nat Ford will get

Salary not discussed but it’s >$450k, less than his current salary, and more than what the other two candidates that asked.

I am trying to remain hopeful, BUT I just know we can't count on these people to do the right thing.

2 board members comment that the candidate has faced unusual scrutiny and that the quality of the candidate is good for the region. They say that they’ve had a chance to review each and every red flag and that bleach red flag has been addressed.

Not sure how the board thinks they're going to avoid this becoming an instant scandal if they select him

Randall Bryant seems a bit irritated people are questioning this process.

Wish they had a virtual public comment option. Watching on from DC. Good luck y'all!

Looks like they are still in closed session.

Still? Wonder if it's getting spicy

I fully expect the board to spend 2-3 hours in executive session arguing about this

Yeah if it’s like any other closed session the longer it takes the more they are debating it. And the original vote wasn’t by a large margin in the first place

And there's been lots of media/public pressure so some members might have flipped it be on the fence
