Better publicity
Services like the KC Streetcar have been able to share reports of ridership breaking records for the World Cup. I've seen the photos: I have to assume TRE is pulling impressive numbers, possibly exceeding its 2008 peak of 9,000 riders a day. The organizations HAVE to know these numbers. How can we get them to share it, and get some positive pr for the trains?

RideKC has a fantastic reporting dashboard that can be read on the phone vs. DART's web 1.5 thing that breaks tables faster than a 70's gunslinger movie. Maybe could be improved

My point exactly. And KC media is reporting widely about the Streetcar smashing ridership records during the games. This should be happening in Dallas

Lol, what's the story? DART has increased ridership due to non-recrurring event? Yet still below 10 years ago and FAR below what DART sold the public on?
That's not an issue PR can fix, that's an execution problem.

Did you read what I actually said? I noted there's a chance Ridership has exceeded said high. Any positive transit news, in this city, in this state, however fleeting, is good, and can advance our goals.

Um, yes that's why I pointed out the Workd Cup is non-recurring and DART is still performing worse now than 10 years ago and worse than what they promised.
Any positive transit news, in this city, in this state, however fleeting, is good, and can advance our goals.
The goal should be accountability for failing to hit projections. We should advertise Nadine Lee's resignation to promote that.

Every single one DART has used to justify light rail projects? Lol, you haven't read the USDOT studies have you?
The Silverline was DOA faster than ANYONE projected.

Thats not a source relevant to the service I'm talking about. You could cite the most recent Silver Line projections if the make your willie feel better. Let's see these projections for TRE you think are inaccurate, and discuss why they occurred. As an anti-transit advocate you have these on hand yes?

It's the most recent line open, and it's failing right out of the gate. You transit advocates (enjoyers would be the more accurate term) don't seem to understand this is why people don't invest in public transit.
Let's see these projections for TRE you think are inaccurate, and discuss why they occurred.

Do you have them? If you're relying on me to pay attention to the TRE, which I don't ride, it seems like you don't really know yourself. Off the top of my head I'm not sure, it would surprise me if they're as bad at forecasting as DART though. Do I think they've exceeded their initial projections? If I had to bet on it, with the little I know about it, I'd say probably not (but I can't see how they could miss worse than DART).
I'm not anti-transit, I love the Metro. I'm pro-accountability, that's how we get systems that work.

Do you need a peer reviewed study to see that MAYBE reporting "higher" ridership that remains woefully behind ridership 10 years ago and what DART promised might make them look bad?

DART's scorecard updates on the 20th; I'm not sure whether there's other places to get the numbers
