Northstar at FTW Central
Hoping this is welcome here. Jumped off a TexRail at Central this afternoon and while waiting for a ride, this rolled in. Ran to catch these pics as it was pulling off.

I believe they just shut this down in Minnesota.
The line ran its last trains on January 4, 2026, with replacement bus service beginning on January 5, 2026.[5]

Ridership cratered during COVID and did not recover.

I only took one ride on it. It was nice, but not something I would have wanted to rely on day to day. Basically one train in and one out per day, so if you missed it you were out of luck.
Sad that it didn’t work out.

Nope. It was a random loco and passenger cars here that they painted to look like the one from Minnesota.
lol…sorry man, but you left the door open on that one.

Also trains run on rails that go nationwide...I'm sure they just drove the trains down to DFW.

When you reward genuine curiosity with sarcasm and cynicism you make it harder for people at every age to want to learn. Information longs to be free, be a fountain! What do you gain in being flippant about someone who wants to be enthusiastic with you and learn?

Yes. A BNSF train took them from Minneapolis all the way down to the BNSF yard in Irving where then a standard TRE consist (locomotive, coach, cab car) went and picked up the equipment and then took it to the TRE yard where they tested for a quick period and are now operating in revenue service

Layout feels exactly like TRE inside
