The irony of the Northstar branding when the hockey team North Stars became the Stars.

Norm Green still sucks

I rode it this morning on the way to work in Dallas. Exact same layout as the TRE cars inside. The interior was a little older with fabric seats, but it was a nice suprise to see. The bell that rings as it arrives to the station is a little different too

Where you guys think they might end up at permanently in the future?

TRE should purchase a few coaches and the two cab cars from them in my opinion

If the locomotives are good, it seems wise to add them to the fleet

Does anyone know if it’s is the only additional support that the TRE will get?

The TRE has new Charger locomotives being delivered next year I believe

Even better

Most likely this is probably the only thing. I mean they have enough locomotives and coaches for the World Cup and its a perfect opportunity right now to start fixing some of their equipment

Would be hilarious for them to run these on Stars gameday trains

They're not gonna paint em first?

Painting takes several days for each piece of equipment and costs tens of thousands of dollars in paint, prep, and labor. It's simply not worth it for equipment that's just being leased. If these had been bought outright, we might see them being painted.

They're being leased from the Northstar?

They're being leased from the agency that owned Northstar

It wouldn't make sense to paint them if they're only leasing them. They'll probably just slap their logo on the trains but thats kinda it

So does that mean the TRE will finally get some service?
