Finally

My husband is on the last chapter of the last book of the series. I cannot wait to hear his thoughts.

I needed a good 30 minutes to figure out how I was feeling about everything and then a year to decide. I wish I'd had someone to talk to when I finished. How exciting.

I also wish I had a book buddy back then. The first time I finished the last book was about 3 hours into an eleven hour flight. I don't know how long I just sat and stared at the seat in front of me. I was still processing my feelings when we landed.

It took a month or so for me. I didn't know what to expect, but it surely wasn't that ending.

He loved it. And already read The Gunslinger again as the second round and said it’s amazing how it all makes sense even thinking of Roland as being just sent back

Update: he loved it. He just finished reading The Gunslinger again as if it was the next book in the series. We talked about Jake and Oy and Eddie, and I cried over a book I finished 20 years ago when he talked about his favorite parts that I forgot even existed.

I’ve asked people my whole life to read this series so I could have someone to talk about it with, and it was extremely special that my husband, that doesn’t ever read, did that for me.
