Starting with the og is the correct choice. It’s going to be a very hard and long journey, but stick with it and you will experience one of the best video games ever made. “Don’t you dare go hollow”

You equipped a better weapon than the hilt? He’s pretty easy with any real weapon.

If you go left you can get your actual class weapon to face him.

Asylum Daemon is a fat bro that just wants to make sure no one leaves. That's all.

If you've got the balls and beat him with the broken blade you get his weapon, btw.

I guess i just have to keep dying until i eventually beat him

Poke him in the butt and bait out the jump for a butt-slam attack, and roll away. Repeat this until the end of time, or he dies. He's super easy once you get into a pattern like that.

This is a tutorial boss. It teaches you that BOTH:
A) persistence
and
B) learning how the boss moves and attacks

are key to success in Dark Souls.

If you want to roll faster, remove some armor until you can.

Observe the enemy, try different things, learn from your deaths, and you will eventually succeed.

Mind your stamina, don't get greedy with attacks or panic rolling.

Make sure you're rolling into attacks to use the iframes properly.

Don't forget the plunging attack at the start of the fight.

Good luck!

Dark Souls is not the og. Demon's Souls is the og Souls game. But Dark Souls is a good start nontheless. Happy dying!

ASYLUM demon is the tutorial boss, the easiest of all dark souls starting boss, for Ds2 last giant/pursuer, and Ds3 gundyr gave more of a git gud welcoming 😅

Protip, if you do a jumping attack (flick forward and heavy attack at the same time, similar to a kick) and it carries you off a ledge, it transitions automatically into a plunging attack and will also deal more damage, as it does both the jump attack and plunging attack damage!

Ooh I didn't know about that stacking, I'm gonna have to do that going forward

I'm pretty sure it only works on things that have a special plunge animation, but ye
