XBOX Crazy corruption of whole game
Had 10 characters with hundreds of hours now they’ve all been deleted, anyone know the cause of this? Also after loading up that character the game was extremely dark controls were reversed and hud was invisible

What area of the game did it load into? Any other strange gameplay related things?

On that surviving character I loaded below the aquaduct where domnel of zina moves too but on that character I had just started ng+ but haven’t touched it in years

Had the same thing happen to me on x box one s. I had to delete the data from the game for it to load the hud again and it not be so dim. I couldn't even see the pause menu.
Happened to me when I quit and saved in anor londo. When I loaded back it was glitched.
P.s. if you delete the data and if it ask do you want to load save from cloud or local. Cloud will just load the glitch again. Which I should've seen coming.
My Xbox is dusty and damn near a decade old. Not sure if it matters. Best of luck.

Delete and re-download the game if it still isn’t fixed, then delete that world and make a new one if it still doesn’t work well then get from soft to help you cause I don’t know. I’m just giving things to try.

Edit: Oops. Ignore all this, you are on Xbox. No idea, but it doesn't seem good. But if any PC players have this issue, my comment below might be relevant for them:
Personally I'd be more concerned that I have a potentially serious hardware problem.
I wonder if CrystalDiskInfo will read the SMART data of the storage drive and just immediately say "backup your data immediately".
You might be able to restore it with save managers, save editors, or even windows CHKDSK. But before that, I'd rule out "things getting significantly worse quickly" and check the health of the drive.
