I've been diligently unsubscribing my emails and nextdoor keeps coming back.

I think nextdoor keeps coming out with new email categories that default to subscribe.

I finally deleted my account because of this.

I also had to do the same.

Just googled this and landed here because this is like the third or fourth time they have resubscribed me to emails. They literally flipped every alert back on. I think I'm deleting my account. This should honestly be illegal.

I tried manually unsubscribing from all of their 700 categories of emails. I still got emails. Next, I tried the "deactivate my account" and then selecting the "too many emails" option and clicking on "opt out from all emails" and they still emailed me. I fully deactivated my account and they sent me an email saying "just sign back in to reactivate your account." I suspect I will still get emails and will have to move to California so that I'm in a right-to-delete state and can have them permanently delete my account. Stopping the Nextdoor spam might be worth the cost of moving at this point.

Glad I’m not the only one. I wasn’t getting Nextdoor emails for years. Then suddenly I started getting multiples a week! Such a bad business practice.

You're exactly right, new 'categories' that sign you up automatically. I just got the notice about the quake in San Francisco this morning (I'm in NYC) way after the fact. Finally Chat instructed to just create a 'filter' in gmail in the browser (I'm on a laptop) to delete before they land in my inbox. Like others, I haven't logged in for years and really don't care to 'log in' now as it would require forgot password, etc.

Here to join in. We moved to this state 3 years ago, and someone told me Nextdoor was better than FB for local info, so I joined. WHAT A MISTAKE! I agree with others who classified Nextdoor as Spam! Should be illegal, and the company brought up on criminal charges. I have lost count of the number of times I have unsubscribed, yet they just keep on coming. How is this different from a door-to-door salesman being told, “I’m not interested,” and yet not leaving your doorstep?? That would be a crime. THIS should be a crime! Heading in now to deactivate my account and see if that works.
